PRAGMATISME DALAM PENDIDIKAN AKHLAK

Islam emphasizes the importance of educational activities. In general, the
presence of education is expected to change and complete the order in various
aspects of life. Education in Islam has a wide variety of very fundamental
footing. Al-Quran and al-Hadits is a strong argument as the foundation of
education in Islam. As time, various kinds of arguments as the basis of education
appear. One of them is the foundation of philosophical reason and a wide range
of understanding. It is influential in Islamic education.
The essence of Islamic education that will be discussed in this article are
priority objectives in it that moral education. Definition of moral education is a
process that leads to the goal, then in the venture will require different methods of
moral education.
The emergence of philosophical understanding affect the implementation of
the method in moral education. Philosophy offers a wide variety of forms of
understanding about the things that affect a human being. One is the ideology of
pragmatism that is, when the truth is recognized if what was done practically
capable of resulting in benefits.This article tries to explain how pragmatism in
Islamic education methods, especially in moral education.
