Abstract
This study aims are to determine the effect of leadership, organizational culture on
the performance of employees in the Univercity of Nahdlatul Ulama Surakarta with
commitment as an intervening variable.
Data analysis techniques used path analysis (path analysis ), which will be tested
with the t test, F test and test R2
, Correlations, direct effect and indirect effect and total
effect. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires, the sample are employes
at the Univercity of Nahdlatul Ulama Surakarta as many as 30 respondents.
T- test result showed leadership has positive and significant impact on employee
commitment, organizational culture has positive and insignificant effect on employee
commitment. As for variable leadership and commitment have a positive and
significant effect on the performance, organizational culture has positive and
insignificant effect on the performance of employees in the Univercity of Nahdlatul
Ulama Surakarta. F test showed simultaneously leadership, organizational culture and
commitment’s organizations has significant positive effect on the performance of
employees in the Univercity of Nahdlatul Ulama Surakarta. The value of the coefficient
of determinasi R square of 0,9413or 94,13%. This means that the employee’s
performance is explained by the variable leadership, organizational culture and
commitment as an intervening variable of 94,13 % and the remaining 5,87 % is
explained by other variables outside our model, such as work environment, competence
and others.
